Spare Ribs and Italian Sausage
The weather was so good yesterday, we spent all day outside and this dinner was a result of that. We had gone to the farmer's market on Saturday and found some nice small okra, which we smothered with onion and fresh tomato. We cut up a winter squash and baked it in the oven while our Pork Ribs and Italian Sausage cooked slowly on my barbecue pit. While the ribs were cooking I took out my large outdoor jambalaya pot and burner and re-seasoned it for the season. Pork jambalaya with fresh sausage is our favorite and will probably be the next thing we cook outside.
